24 July 2020 | For 18 weeks now, Puente Arizona along with allied organizations have organized and empowered the community to demand restorative justice and the release of over 39,000 incarcerated housed in for-profit prisons. There are well over 680 COVID-19 cases within the prison systems, and the virus has claimed the lives of 15 incarcerated. Just last night, the incarcerated at Whetstone Unit in Tucson staged a peaceful walkout amid concerns over spread of infection. Whetstone is a minimum custody, dormitory-style facility. #FreeThemAll
